Privacy Policy — DC Radio

Information Collection and Use

DC Enhancements built DC Radio as a mobile application. This service is provided by DC Enhancements and is intended for use as is.

The app may process technical or account-related data required to deliver its features, keep the service secure, and resolve support issues. We limit collection to the minimum necessary for the feature you actively use.

Crash diagnostics or analytics tooling may receive technical telemetry such as device model, OS version, crash traces, and anonymous usage events to improve stability.

• Optional Google sign-in and cloud sync can process an account identifier, available profile information, device identifier/name, app version, role/status, favorites, station and stream metadata, playback/remote-control state, lyrics-follow content and timestamps.
• Local favorites, history, settings and optional recordings of the app's own playback output are stored on-device for the features you choose.
• When live lyrics are requested, artist and title are sent to the configured lyrics service. When Sound ID is enabled, a short sample of the app's own playback output, not microphone audio, may be sent to the configured recognition service.
• Google Mobile Ads may process device, online-identifier and ad-interaction data. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may process app-usage and technical diagnostic data such as app/OS version, device model and crash traces.
• Purchase verification can process Play product, purchase-token, order/transaction identifier where supplied, entitlement status and verification timestamps.

Permissions

The app may request the following Android permissions to provide its features:

• android.permission.INTERNET — connect to online services that provide core app functionality
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — detect whether a network connection is available before contacting remote services
• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE — keep long-running playback or sync tasks active while the app is in use
• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — support a user-facing feature that depends on this Android permission
• android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS — deliver playback, status, or product notifications
• android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — save exported files to your device storage
• android.permission.WAKE_LOCK — keep playback, downloads, or sync operations stable while the device is active
• android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS — support a user-facing feature that depends on this Android permission
• android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — support a user-facing feature that depends on this Android permission

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services or SDK categories:

• Google Play Billing — Handles Play purchase flows. We may process purchase and entitlement identifiers needed for verification, not payment-card details.
• Google Mobile Ads — Provides advertising in the free app and may process data under Google's advertising terms and consent controls.
• Firebase Analytics — May receive app-usage events used to understand product use and reliability.
• Firebase Crashlytics — May receive crash reports and technical diagnostic state used to investigate reliability issues.
• Retrofit / HTTP APIs — This service may process technical request metadata necessary to provide its feature.

Ads and In-App Purchases

The app may display ads and may offer in-app purchases. Payment transactions are handled by the Google Play billing infrastructure or other configured storefront services.

Data Retention

Local favorites, history, settings and recordings remain on the device until they are deleted in the app or through Android app storage. Cloud, purchase, advertising, analytics and crash-diagnostic records are retained only as required to operate the applicable feature, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve support issues or satisfy the provider's backup lifecycle. Children's Privacy

DC Radio is not directed to children under 13. Optional sign-in, advertising, audio recognition and cloud features should be used only where appropriate for the listener's age and local law.

Optional Account and Cloud Sync

When you choose Google sign-in and cloud sync, DC Radio may process the Firebase account identifier and available profile information, a device identifier and device name derived from manufacturer/model, app version, device role and timestamps. Sync data can include favorites, station and stream URL metadata, playback state, remote-control commands, and lyrics-follow data such as song title, artist, lyrics text and synchronized lines. These features are optional; local listening does not require sign-in.

Local Library and Recordings

Favorites, listening history, settings and optional recordings of the app's own radio playback output may be stored locally on your device. The app does not use the microphone for recording or Sound ID. Manage local data in the app or remove it through Android app storage; uninstalling does not itself erase cloud records held for an optional account.

Advertising and Purchases

The free app includes Google Mobile Ads. Google may process online identifiers, IP/network information, device/app information and ad-interaction data to deliver, measure or limit ads under Google's terms and your applicable consent choices. Google Play handles payment details. DC Radio may send purchase and entitlement identifiers to its configured verification service to validate access; DC Enhancements does not receive payment-card details.

User Choices and Privacy Requests

You can use the local listening features without signing in and can manage local app data through the app or Android settings. For account, cloud-sync, purchase or other privacy requests, contact dev@dcenhancements.com. We will assess the request against applicable law, security requirements and records we are required to retain.
